EUmark Set 07 — serial number marking kit with CD410 stencil printer
Set 07 exists for one situation, and it is a common one in production identification work: every part carries a different number, and none of them needs deep etch.
Serialized production, asset tagging, lot and date coding, unique device identifiers. Hundreds of stencils, each used once. What that work needs is printing capacity and software that generates the numbers — not a machine specified for etch depth it will never produce and priced accordingly.
What makes this kit different
| CD410 stencil printer | Included, with stencil design software |
|---|---|
| Sequential serial numbers | Auto-incremented across a run, so nobody retypes a number and nobody transposes one |
| QR codes and barcodes | Generated in software |
| Stencil tape supplied | 60 mm × 108 m — a very large stock of printed stencils |
| Marking mode | Black oxide marking |
A 108 m roll is the point of this configuration. At a typical stencil length it represents thousands of printed stencils, which is why the set suits production serialization rather than occasional marking.
Why this instead of SUPER SET 04
SUPER SET 04 runs the same class of serialization software — sequential numbers, QR codes, barcodes — on the full machine, which also does deep etch. Set 07 runs it on the compact machine, black oxide marking only, for a price close enough to SUPER SET 04 that the choice is not really about budget.
Choose Set 07 only when you are certain the drawing will never call for etch depth. If there is any chance you will need depth later, SUPER SET 04 is the safer specification for a small difference in price — buying the compact machine now and the full machine later costs far more than buying the right one once.
What it does not do
Set 07 is built on the compact machine, so it produces black oxide marking only — no deep etch. For marks with real depth, or where a drawing specifies etch depth rather than contrast, you need SUPER SET 04, Set 01 or Set 03.
Marking specifications customers bring us
- MIL-STD-130 — identification marking of US military property, where variable serial content is the norm rather than the exception
- SAE AS9132 — data matrix quality requirements, where acceptance rests on cell fill and contrast rather than on the marking technology
- AS9100 / ISO 13485 traceability — serial, lot and part identification inside your quality system
Straight answer on certification: the equipment does not hold one, and no marking equipment does. Compliance attaches to the marked part and to your qualification of the process — current mode, dwell time, electrolyte, felt saturation, stencil condition are the only variables to control.
Kit contents
- EUmark compact marking unit, 110 V / 220 V, with power and marking cables
- CD410 stencil printer
- Stencil design software with sequential serial numbers, QR codes and barcodes
- Stencil tape, 60 mm × 108 m
- Hand stamp (marking head)
- Electrolyte sample
What the process does to the part
| Property | Effect | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Heat input | none | No HAZ to disposition on heat-treated alloys |
| Recast layer | none | No micro-cracking initiation site on cyclically loaded parts |
| Residual stress | none added | Fatigue allowables unchanged |
| Material removal | ~0.001″ surface conversion | Safe on thin wall sections and finished dimensions |
| Burrs and raised edges | none | No deburr operation after marking |
| Hardness and temper | unchanged | Marking happens last, on the finished part |
| Corrosion resistance | preserved | Neutralize with N11, then passivate to your existing procedure |
The electrolyte
Set 07 ships with a sample electrolyte to get you marking immediately. Full 200 ml bottles of M21, M22 and M23 are available separately — each ships with a safety data sheet, which quality and EHS functions need for incoming inspection and the audit file. A 200 ml bottle delivers up to 20,000 marks.
M21 is self-cleaning and gets a high number of marks from one wetting of the felt — the choice for running a batch without stopping to re-wet. Send us your alloy and we will confirm which electrolyte to order.

Running the numbers
A 108 m roll at a typical stencil length yields on the order of two thousand printed stencils. At roughly six parts a minute of steady marking, that is enough capacity to run production serialization for a long stretch before the tape needs reordering. A 200 ml bottle of electrolyte covers up to 20,000 marks, on the order of 55 hours of continuous marking.
Questions we get
How is this different from SUPER SET 04, and why would I choose it over 04?
The machine, not the software. Both kits run the same serialization software — sequential numbers, QR codes, barcodes — and both ship with a large stencil tape roll. SUPER SET 04 is built on the full machine and adds deep etch on top of black oxide marking. Set 07 is built on the compact machine and runs black oxide marking only.
The price difference between them is small, so this is not really a budget decision. Choose Set 07 only when you are certain a drawing will never call for etch depth — otherwise SUPER SET 04 gives you the same serialization capability plus the second marking mode for close to the same money, and saves you from buying twice if that certainty turns out to be wrong.
Can it produce a data matrix or QR code that will grade?
The CD410 software generates the symbol; achievable cell size depends on print resolution and your part’s surface finish. Send us the symbol size and part finish and we will tell you honestly whether it will grade against your standard before you order.
Will it mark hardened steel?
Yes. There is no thermal or mechanical input, so hardness and geometry are unaffected. This is why the process is used after heat treatment and final finishing rather than before.
Does marking affect corrosion resistance on stainless?
Not when the marked area is neutralized with N11 Neutralyte and passivated along with the rest of the part under your existing procedure.
Can it be used in the field or at a customer site?
Yes. The compact machine needs only a bench and a wall outlet. MRO and field service customers use it for replacement part identification and repair tagging.
Where does it ship from, and what will landed cost be?
Orders dispatch from Serbia and ship worldwide. Duties, tariffs and import handling vary by destination and change often. Tell us the delivery country before you order and we will provide the tariff classification, the shipping method and a landed cost estimate in writing.
Before you buy
Tell us your material, mark content and annual volume, and we’ll confirm whether Set 07 is the right fit — or whether SUPER SET 04 would serve you better if depth is ever a possibility.
